Jet Plane

This is a very, very old sculpture I did.

It's amongst my very first sculptures. This was like a year or two before I discovered wire and other mediums. Until then, I spent months coming up with ingenious ways of assembling the miscellaneous objects -- or "crap", as my former classmates would call it -- that I kept in my pencil case, having found the stuff lying around on the floor in various locations.

Took about 25 mins to assemble. I did this one during a very boring Chemistry class.

This piece consists of the following random crap.. err.. objects:
- the "clip" piece of a clipboard. (for the wings and overall body)
- its springy thingy (for the landing gear - feet?)
- two pens from the same brand and colour without their tops and tips. (for the engines)
- one rubber band. (yes, it's really only one!)
- the inside of a broken mechanical pencil.
- a third, empty pen -- of different colour as the "engines".
- two metal sticks.

I think it looks pretty neat.
